The overdue sequel to the story; HOW TO GO FISHING 1 The Preface. HTGF1 was the first post I ever made on this blog. It was a story which because of the Instagram caption character limit, didn't have a home.  Hence Corner Stories was born. A way I could give mates a means to engage with what I was making without putting it too in their face.  Originally it was just called MQN8R so that I could publish whatever felt like me. But I decided it needed its own identity, as I wanted others to use the functionality to share their inner monologue and photographic perspective. Tow Rig 1 Tow Rig 2 Okay this one is a bit left field but if you tough it out you won't ever look at a Lexcen the same. Time to explain what you are looking at - a bunch of screenshots of a Gumtree listing for a white 1993 Toyota Lexcen . But what is a Lexcen ? Tow Rig 1   So we gave Largs a miss and tried our luck at Brighton jetty this week. VL bloke never called to sell ( unsurprising ).  Once setup I decided to pop into the local Vietnamese joint to grab some spring-rolls. On the way back I would glance across the street to spot Tow Rig 2 .     By comparison the VL was completely shit. Sure it had a manual box behind a breathless Japanese six but the blue oval was just a million times cleaner.     The Fairmont was a proper minter, stock as. The paint was schmick, headlights and bonnet protector near new, fourteens wrapped with BF goodies still ugly and stickers were legible. Not anymore they ain't.   Okay so the VL is a better looking 6cyl sedan, but the Fairmont was right at home out front the sports bar. So lately I've been heading to Largs Bay Jetty for a flick with some mates. Yes it is twenty-twenty5, and my dreams of graduating from the jetty to the boat have not been successful. HOW TO GO FISHING 2 is still in the works, it's just getting all the ingredients together that takes time. Even the ones I didn't know I needed, like this VL Commodore . On route to our pre-fishing dinner I spotted this car parked about a hundred metres in the distance. My two mates didn't share my desire to turn around and go check it out so we continued to dinner but agreed to go back.
