Yahoo Auctions Subaru Leone (rabbit hole)

Firstly apologies for yet another post on the Subaru Leone that's up for grabs on yahoo auctions. In case you haven't read it you can HERE.

So of course I've had some trouble getting the car out of my mind. Because so few older subies made it to Aus and even fewer have survived, seeing a minter creates lust & fascination. 

I met Tony Parle earlier this year, who told great yarns about the early coupes, notably the GSR and how a certain GL made him a Subaru man for life. It also won a few drags and impressed the local rotary tuner so I'm electing to blame that as well.

Getting back on track, the red sedan had caught my attention for another reason, especially since sedans usually aren't my thing.

(Some exceptions include the Cefiro, Legacy/Liberty, 850 R & Galant VR4) 

Eventually I resorted to my Subaru senpai Gingo Gojo, scouring his blog with key terms and found it. A Japanese film called Double Clutch.

A film staring... 

some actors/actresses.

But really it stars a two Subaru Leone's. Not that I've seen it.

One car, an RX spec coupe on fourteen inch SMSG wheels (which I scour the auctions for daily) is driven by the film villain. 

The other car, a hero car, is in fact the red sedan from a previous post.

While I could give you the films uninteresting soap-opera plot, let me create one of my own before you watch the video below. Imagine the guy in the coupe is a total arsehole while the guy in the red sedan shares all your values and beliefs. Mint. Now that that's out of the way go ahead and watch the video. It's quite long so take advantage of skipping bits.

This will be long and lack any sort of direction, forgive me. This All Japan Day was far more relaxed for me, as I decided early on I wouldn't be making a video like last year: As a result I picked up fellow enthusiast/blog author Nick at about 10:30ish in the Vortex . Car Feature ~ Subaru Vortex

Subinats 24' was a wild ride. While strolling the show & shine, making sure to get enough footage, I finally got to meet Shane. Meeting another Vortex owner is a rare occurrence and Shane didn't disappoint. A super genuine dude, we talked wedge, getting the run down on his Wynn's Safari inspired Vortex .  I'll type up a page on that car soon, but during the tour, Shane told me he was not alone.
