Street Sighting ~ Mazda MX-5
Even today the white NB looked like a modern car. But in a good way. The paint was solid and it still had the stock wheels which was nice. But this wasn't your run of the mill NB.
You see the SP badge on the back indicates this was one of em' special MX-5's that Australia somehow convinced Mazda to turbocharge. Like I mentioned earlier we seem to be a bit spoilt with Mazda convertibles so something a bit more noteworthy was nice.
Since starting this write up I've read up on the SP edition and found most journos criticised body shell stiffness (but very little else). I'd be curious to compare the driving feel between a turbocharged NB and my normally aspirated NA. I wonder if the trade off goes something a bit like more speed but less go-kart? Just a hypothesis.
As for tunes, longer tracks are best. After all this car deserves to be driven through the hills with precision. Worrying about the next track is less than ideal. So for me, Groove Armada's Superstylin' ought to keep me in the zone.
