NIKON F100 test
So I borrowed a friends Nikon F100 SLR film camera. He knowingly purchased it right as digital started to become the norm. At the time digital was king because submitting photos in a short time frame meant film was on the way out (plus costs etc). But still the F100 was being sold at a good price so he picked it up anyway. It had about two rolls of film put through it before it was shelved. That is until I came along. I'm not photographically inclined, I was taught the basics at uni but with nothing to apply it too I've mostly forgotten. No doubt a YouTube video ought to bring me back up to speed after which it's just trial and error. So I had the camera for a week and loaded a roll of black and white I had sitting in a draw. I made a real effort to take the camera with me on my day-to-day but by the middle of the week I really hadn't shot much.
I'd taken a nice photo of Enzo's Auto Service in black & white on my fuji camera so I figured no harm in taking some more with the new toy. After all, this was to test the camera not capture anything important.
There's never a time where I don't find myself stopping and starring for too long. The cars aren't exactly ones I aspire to owning, have an interest in, or sometimes even know of. But it doesn't stop me from getting lost in the view. The rest of the photos I took were either a bit more personal (photos of people) or turned out shit (my fault). But towards the end of the roll I took some mandatory photos of the Vortex.
Overall it's a very good camera and I might have to really start saving up if I want to start shooting film properly.
