Honda-rated
After resealing the master cylinder (with help) on my 1986 Leone, Zigg arrived at the shed. With him came news of a pop up Honda meet. Yasukichi Yamamoto - Opera Performance was in town, which meant a call to arms for the Honda people (the rest of the shed headz).
Given it was around the corner from mine, I figured I could wheel up the only Honda I own. Here's some pics and off-the-dome remarks from the event...
Had a chat with the owner of this S660 that sports some fruit. I felt the pride and joy of the owner teaching me about it and while it sounds silly, I enjoyed seeing a HKS mushroom filter in person. Cool car.
Earth Dreams...
Hearts and diamonds, this Jap-styled NSX suit stood out as you'd expect, but were ultimately outshone by the power of trim and stock purity (all ridiculously cool cars)...
Underrated.
But also unfortunate and upstaged.
My grandparents had one of these. It was auto with paddle shifters. I drove it for a week while they were trying to sell it. Didn't move me spiritually, but hard to do with an automatic.
Engine swapped EG.
Car swapped K-series.
P~one's consistently faultless.
White wheels done right.
A Honda done right.
Me questioning hurting the look with the space saver.
Me also being proved wrong about leaving the space saver at home.
Whatever I said about P1's again.
A footnote on why its important to appreciate mismatch panels; because in some ways it shows dedication to the process or a commitment beyond public perception.
A fourth gen Prelude with mismatch panels.
A fourth gen Prelude after 9 beers.
Kaiden, Jess and Zigg tied in third place.
My lawn mower in second.
First place goes to James with the cheapest Type-R - A purchase I reckon will age really well, but he needs to get his rotary back on the road.
Rising sun to start a series of pics that feel very Honda meet-esk.
Spoon parts.

Aesthetically pleasing engine bays.
A quick duck into Coles, featuring a visit to the Palantir public library to turn some pages and catch this NSX 6-page spread.
Some rust because Honda owners love to call their cars shitboxes regardless of how sorted the driveline is.
Hearing people say VTEC alot in conversations happening around you.
A nice battery relocation.
It's funny what nabs your attention. Like this Civic...
In fact this was my favourite car from the night.
The Breezy Civic.
But the winning moment was watching a young lad politely show myself and Yasukichi Yamamoto his old mans' EG with pride.
If you are someone into Honda's (I'll stick with boxers for now), save this website - the next post is a entertaining and informative guide on how Zigg engine swapped his Civic that is worth a gander.
Cheers.
