Street Sighting ~ Holden Torana
By the looks of it, a respray seemed likely but overall the car presented very neat. Not to mention it had survived being cut up and turned into an A9X tribute. Normally I'd hesitant about walking over and taking some pics of an older domestic but this one had the aura of being a classic Adelaide car. Something making the occasional runabout or good weather commute to work.
Plus as I was alluding to earlier, it seems rarer to see one of these not hotted up. So sitting on the stock steelies wearing its U-plates and being a bit dirty was nice. Oh and it was an LX SS, five litre big banger V8 (according to the badging). And it was manual.
But overall I tend not to care all that much about Holden’s and Ford's. I have no allegiance to either. My old man has had both and neither were great or even good. It was cool to see amongst the modern slop but would I like to own a car like this? Probably not.
Lend me it for the afternoon and I'd turn up YOUR IN MY WAY by CLUTCH KICK and leave train tracks at every set of lights.
